תקן זה דן בבדיקת אטימות בפני חל”כ (חומרי לחימה כימיים) ובפני חלב”ג (חומרי לחימה ביולוגיים) של מקלטים ומרחבים מוגנים לפי תקנות ההתגוננות האזרחית כאשר לא מותקנת בהם בפועל מערכת אוורור וסינון. כאשר מותקנת בפועל מערכת כזו, חלות דרישות הבדיקות, לרבות בדיקת האטימות, המפורטות בתקן הישראלי ת”י 4570 על כל חלקיו.
